Agrapart Grand Cru "Vénus" Blanc de Blancs, Extra-Brut '18

Domaine Agrapart & Fils is a benchmark grower estate based in Avize (Grand Cru), Côte des Blancs, farming roughly 12 hectares across a mosaic of parcels in top Grand Cru villages. The viticulture is sustainable and organic-minded(often described as organic/biodynamic in practice), with meticulous work in the vines and a cellar approach that prioritizes texture, transparency, and site over make-up.

Grand Cru “Vénus” Blanc de Blancs 2018 is Agrapart’s iconic, tiny-production Chardonnay from a single old-vine plot in Avize (planted in 1959), worked by hand and horse to protect the soils and highlight this specific terroir. Vinification and élevage lean traditionally precise: fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maturation in older 600L oak barrels to build depth without overt oak character, then bottled with no dosage for maximum clarity and mineral drive. This is one of the house’s most profound expressions of Avize—layered, chalky, and built to age.
